I was finally able to nail down David J, the bass player from the band Bauhaus, a couple weeks ago. I photoed their show in San Diego a coupel years ago, their reunion tour, and was contacted shortly after by David J himself. Seems he found some picture I took of the show and wanted to use one for a magazine article in Bass Player Magazine. I gave him the image he wanted, tho not the best quality, it got published. a year or so later i ran across his email and decided to email him for a shoot. I photoed his cabaret show, Cabaret Oscuro, and hte bext day we were to shoot. The show being a late night and he not being young and stuff, was too tired to shoot the next day to finally months later we were able to nail it downa dn shoot a few pictures. I also shot a friend of his for an upcoming play he is wokring on, but I can't mention it here quite yet. I am going to be doing the CD artwork for his music of Cabaret Oscuro. I asked him if they were a band that got screwed back them with royalties, and he laughed, sorta. Yes they did, they made something like maybe 14% of the rotalties, and they own NONE of the music they produced, even to this day, except Bela Lugosis Dead. Their newest album, coming out hopefully next year, tey do own. Finally.
