For those watching the news on these fires in San Diego keep in mind they want your viewing for their ratings. These people are idiots and try to keep you on the edge of your seat. Grant it they do relay vital information, sometimes they give too much. I ask any of you (who would like to) is to email these stations and remind them that they should not be broadcasting that Fire Departments in this county are "strapped" out of resources or that is only X amount of fire trucks left. When they do this it is inviting arsonists to go ahead and go light a fire cause no ones is coming for a while. What the Hell is wrong with the media? Most of our fires are always human caused whether intentional or negligence, arson is just hard to prove but we know. Also helicopters themselves do not put out fires, its a combination of air tankers and ground crews with the help of helicopters that make a successful extinguishment. But most importantly keep the people who have lost everything in mind, in if you wish to donate, make sure it is reputable and avoid scams. Thank you.
